Follie check #3 = 23 follies!

Ok so (by the way this feels like the count down to New Year's or something - well, to me at least!) today my lining is at 9mm still but I have some new follies growing! I've got 23 all 12mm or more! Here's the breakdown:

4 @ 12mm, 5 @ 13mm, 2 @ 14mm, 3 @ 15mm, 1 @ 16mm, 4 @ 17mm, 3 @ 18mm

The RE says that I need about 1 more day of stimming (tonight) and I might even be triggering tomorrow night for an ER on Monday! I'm so excited!!

UPDATE: I stay on 125 units of Follistim with 5 of Lupron tonight and back to the RE for b/w & u/s tomorrow morning.

Follie check #2 = 18 follies!

My lining is at 9mm!

And here are my follies today:

2 @ 10mm, 2 @ 12mm, 4 @ 13mm, 5 @ 14mm, 4 @ 15mm, and 1 @ 16mm

UPDATE: They are having me reduce again to 125 units of Follistim from 150 (originally at 225), stay with 5 units of Lupron (thank God I got extra Lupron needles from my RE office today) and go back for b/w and u/s tomorrow.

Follie check = 13 maturing follies!

So far I have 13 follies cookin' in there! I really hope I get more. Right now there are:

2 @ 10mm, 3 @ 11mm, 6 @ 12 mm, and 2 @ 13 mm.

My lining is at 6mm. I'll update this post later on today with my next protocol and appointment date.

UPDATE: They told me to stay at 150 Follistim and 5 Lupron for tonight and come back in for b/w and u/s tomorrow morning.

Update: My IVF cycle

So Lupron has been a piece of cake so far, thank God! With all the horror stories I'd been hearing I was so nervous to start that one. I think the needle is a tiny bit thicker than the Follistim needle because sometimes I have to push a little harder to get it in, but other than that...no problems.

I started Follistim at 225 units on Friday night with half the Lupron dose (5units) and I had my first monitoring appointment this morning. My lining is at 5mm and I have about 20 follies less than 11 at the moment. I think my largest so far is only at about 9mm but it's still early. They're going to call me later today for my protocol for the next couple of days.

UPDATE: They called and told me to reduce to 150 Follistim with the 5units of Lupron. I go back Wednesday morning for b/w and u/s.

At this point, I really think we may be looking at an ER this weekend. I'm excited about the ER but nervous about 2 things. (1) the PIO injections, and (2) I am supposed to do a presentation to our board of trustees on the 21st and I'm nervous that the ER/ET may land on or around that day.

Starting my IVF cycle on Thursday

These are the meds I received for my IVF cycle. I'm starting the Lupron on Thursday for 7 days and then I go in for b/w and u/s on April 7th. Hopefully they will say I'm ready to move on to the Follistim at that point. I don't want to have to wait any longer.By the way, my dad (who doesn't know we've done IUI's or that we're going to be doing IVF either) called yesterday to tell me that he had a vivid dream after praying for over an hour that I was pregnant. He said everyone in the dream was crying tears of joy. He said the # 8 kept coming up in his dream but that he doesn't know what that means. He said whatever we do, to keep trying because we're going to get pregnant soon! I hope his dream comes true!

Also, I have no clue why he started talking about this, but he said that he believes that a life is created as soon as conception happens and that God has created a life at that moment and that it has a soul and that soul stays with you forever. He's a reverend by the way. I have NO idea why he said this. We did not tell him about the chemical pregnancy. So weird!!

On to IVF

So IUI #4 failed, I'm on CD1 at the moment. I have my IVF class on Thursday but I think I'll be on BCP starting on Tuesday night to start my IVF cycle.

UPDATE: I found out that this was not really a regular AF. It was actually implantation and then a miscarriage so, basically a chemical pregnancy. The beta was at 8.5 and then 2 days later was at 0. I started BCP on Thursday night (the 18th).

IUI #4 Update

So my 4th IUI is tomorrow morning. I'm excited because I actually have more than 1 mature follicle and am expecting to realease about 3 (maybe more...eeek!).

I was on 150ui of Follistim from CD3-CD7. On the morning of CD8 (Monday) they saw that I had many follicles showing signs of maturation. At that point my largest was at 15mm but I had several others above 11mm. So that night they had me reduce the follistim to 50ui.

Yesterday (CD9) I had another monitoring appointment. Here is the breakdown of the follies. 1 @ 17mm, 1 @ 16mm, 1 @ 15mm, 4 @ 14mm, 5 @ 13mm, 3 @ 12 mm, 2 @ 11mm and 1 @ 10mm. Phewwww! That's alot!!

So there was the posibility of cancelling the cycle but my RE suggested that we move forward in the hopes that I will release no more than 3 or 4 (basically the 17, 16, and 15 which by IUI day may be up to 19, 18, and 17). She did warn about the risk of HOM saying the risk of twins goes up to 30%, triplets up to 5%.

DH and I spoke and we decided to move forward with the IUI. So last night I triggered and tomorrow morning is the IUI.

Please wish us luck and send positive thoughts, vibes, and prayers if you can spare them!
